One of the Seven Wonders of
the World, Chichen Itza is the most impressive
Mayan Ruins site close enough to visit in a day
from Cozumel, and perhaps in the entire Yucatan
area of Mexico. It is well restored and
spectacular, with expert archaeological guides
that can really take you into the amazing
history and prowess of the Mayan Empire.
You'll travel non-stop to
Chichen Itza from Playa del Carmen, about a 2.5
hour drive, or if you prefer we can stop on the
way at Valladolid, a Mayan pueblo, where you can
use the facilities and explore a bit. Once
at the ruins, you can hire a guide, or explore
on your own. You can also walk over to the
town of Chichen Itza and have lunch, or stay and
see the Light & Sound show which starts at about
7:00 PM. If you like, we can also visit
Merida, a cenote such as Ik Kil, or even see the
Ek Balam Mayan Ruins, if you have time. An
awesome way to see Chichen Itza!
When: Daily on Your

ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen.
You will need to take the passenger ferry over from
Cozumel on your own to meet this tour.

How Long: Up to 10 Hours, depending on
how long you want to spend at the ruins.
Chichen Itza is approximately 2.5 Hours from
Playa del Carmen.
Additional Hours: $37.50 per hour for
1-8 people, or $45.00 per hour for 9-14 people.
