PRIVATE DRIVER COZUMEL

The Coba Mayan Ruins are the largest and most recently uncovered Mayan Ruins site in this part of the Yucatan.  They are an easy day trip from Cozumel.  At Coba, you can hire a pedicab (rickshaw) and get a guided tour around the ruins site while you kick back and relax (great if you have limited mobility), or you can give it a go on your own on a bike. Coba is also the only major Mayan Ruins site in the Riviera Maya that you can still climb the great pyramid, which allows you amazing views out over the jungle. 

These tours are private, just you and your driver - you go direct to the ruins site, no other hotel pickups - which makes them a perfect option for crusie ship passengers who are short on time, or hotel guests who want the ability to customize a tour to their interests. If you have extra time, you can also add extra hours on to your tour and spend more time at Coba, stop for lunch at a local restaurant, do some shopping, or see other sights if you like.  You have the opportunity to customize your tour any way you like.

When: Daily on Your Schedule.

Where: Meet at the ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen. You will need to take the passenger ferry over from Cozumel on your own to meet this tour.  See Ferry Information

How Long: Approximately 6 Hours. You don't have to stay the full 6 hours if you are pressed for time.  We'll get you back in time.  Additional Hours are also available if you have more time.

Additional Hours: $37.50 per hour for 1-8 people, or $45.00 per hour for 9-14 people.

Notes:

A private guide can be hired at the ruins entrance gate for about $30.00 USD.  Your driver will show you where to go.  This fee is for your whole group to have your own private guide for a 45-minute tour. You also have the option of just exploring on your own without a guide.

You can hire a pedicab to take you around the ruins site for $10 or you can rent a bicycle for $3.50.

If you plan to use a video camera inside Coba, you will need to pay a $3.50 USD government video tax.

Kids:  All ages are welcome.  Kids are the same price as adults.
