MAYAN RUINS FROM COZUMEL

Prepare for a Mayan Ruins Expedition that is second to none in Cozumel and the Riviera Maya!  Start your tour by exploring the Tulum Mayan Ruins site, perched on a cliff top overlooking the Caribbean Sea, a breathtaking scene, one for photographs and memories that will live on forever. At Tulum, if time allows, you can also go down to the beach below the ruins site, or shop for souvenirs.

Then make your way to Coba, the largest Mayan Ruins site in the Riviera Maya, where you can rent a rickshaw or a bicycle to help you maneuver through the jungle paths.  Coba is set in the middle of the jungle - a stark contrast with Chichen Itza or Tulum, and is also the only ruins site where you can climb the great pyramid, providing you with colossal jungle views with the Caribbean beyond.

The beauty of our private tours is that you can customize your day as you see fit.  If you'd like to spend longer at Tulum, that's not a problem.  If you'd like to add extra hours so you can do some shopping, or have lunch at a Mayan restaurant, your guide will be happy to suggest some to you.  We are truly at your service to try to make your day a special one.

When: Daily on Your Schedule.

Where: Meet at the ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen. You will need to take the passenger ferry over from Cozumel on your own to meet this tour.  See Ferry Information

How Long: Approximately 10 Hours.

Additional Hours: $37.50 per hour for 1-8 people, or $45.00 per hour for 9-14 people.

Notes:

A private guide can be hired at each ruins entrance gate for about $30.00 USD.  Your driver will show you where to go.  This fee is for your whole group to have your own private guide for a 45-minute tour. You also have the option of just exploring on your own without a guide.

You can hire a pedicab to take you around Coba for $10 or you can rent a bicycle for $3.50.

If you plan to use a video camera inside Tulum or Coba, you will need to pay a $3.50 USD government video tax.
