PRIVATE TULUM SNORKELING

A tour to the Tulum Mayan Ruins, and some of the Riviera Maya's best snorkeling in one great tour from Cozumel!  This great combination is even available to cruise ship passengers as a shore excursion!

After pickup at the Cozumel Ferry pier in Playa del Carmen, you'll first visit the Tulum Mayan Ruins, famous for it's fortress walled city, built on the edge of the sea cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea.  There is a beautiful beach below the ruins too, that you can walk down to if you like, or even swim.  Hire a guide for a guided tour, or explore on your own!

Then it's on to beautiful and tranquil Yal-Ku Lagoon in Akumal, home to some of the best shore snorkeling in the Riviera Maya.  The waters here are calm, even when the ocean is choppy, which makes it a great snorkeling location.  See sea turtles, eagle rays, and tons of brightly colored tropical fish and corals.  There is a snack bar at Yal-Ku, where you can grab a quick bite.  Want more time at either location?  No problem, just add extra hours.  We're at your service.

When: Daily on Your Schedule.

Where: Meet at the ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen. You will need to take the passenger ferry over from Cozumel on your own to meet this tour.  See Ferry Information

How Long: Approximately 6 Hours. You don't have to stay the full 6 hours if you are pressed for time.  We'll get you back in time.  Additional Hours are also available if you have more time.

Additional Hours: $37.50 per hour for 1-8 people, or $45.00 per hour for 9-14 people.

Not Included:

Tulum Entrance: $5 adults, $2 kids
Yal-Ku Entrance: $7 adults, $5 kids

Notes:

A private guide can be hired at the Tulum entrance gate for 500 pesos (about $35) for 1-8 people or 700 pesos (about $50).  Your driver will show you where to go.  This fee is for your whole group to have your own private guide for a 45-minute tour. You also have the option of just exploring on your own without a guide.

Snorkeling Equipment is available for rent at Yal-Ku Lagoon, if you don't have any, for about $7.00.

If you plan to use a video camera inside Tulum, you will need to pay a $3.50 USD government video tax.
