One of the most popular snorkeling locations in the Riviera Maya is Yal-Ku Lagoon. Here the water is always tranquil, even when the waters at sea are choppy, and combined with water between 6 feet and 15 feet deep, Yal-Ku is perfect for snorkeling for the whole family. At Yal-Ku, sea turtles are common sightings, as well as a variety of rays, barracudas and other fun undersea inhabitants such as an exciting array of tropical fish.

To get to Yal-Ku Lagoon from Cozumel, you will need to take the ferry over on your own to Playa del Carmen, where you will meet your tour. We will take you from there about 30 minutes to Yal-Ku Lagoon. Because of the distance from Cozumel, this tour is most commonly done by visitors to the Riviera Maya, but for those who have snorkeled the best spots in Cozumel and are looking for something to compare it to, we offer this tour to our Cozumel guests as well.
