Rio Lagartos & Ek Balam Tour Highlights

Wind your way through mangrove-lined waterways on a small boat for only 7 people, spotting for wildlife and identifying many endemic species of birds!

Visit the salt mines; approximately 12 miles of pink lakes, where we can dive in and take a swim.

Enjoy a delicious lunch of Shrimp Crepes, Sea Trout Filet and Grouper Filet with battered or grilled shrimp in a local waterfront palapa restaurant!

Tour the Ek Balam Mayan Ruins archaeological zone, one of the finest ruins sites in the Yucatan!

Stop in a small Mayan village, where you'll have an opportunity to see and learn the Mayan traditions and culture that is alive even today!

When: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Where: Meet at the ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen. You will need to take the passenger ferry over from Cozumel on your own to meet this tour.  See Ferry Information
