SIAN KA'AN ECOTOURISM

Sian Kaan is the largest and most ecologically diverse nature reserve in Mexico.  Declared a UNESCO Heritage Site in 1966, this 1.6 million acre preserve is home to over 100 different species of mammals and nearly 350 different species of birds.  Here you'll find such endangered species as manatees, dolphins, jaguars, ocelots, crocodiles, and several species of sea turtles. Sian Ka'an is a true nature lover's paradise.

Sian Kaan Biosphere Tour Highlights

Board a small 7-passenger boat and explore the mangrove-lined waterways of Sian Kaan!

Relax and enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Natural Pool, a scene out of paradise!

Visit Cayo Culebras, an ecological wonderland, where you can spot manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, starfish, pelicans, ibis, hawks, and much more!

Enjoy snorkeling on one of the most beautiful and colorful coral reefs - the Mesoamerican barrier reef - the second largest barrier reef in the world!

Feast on a hot cooked gourmet lunch at a beach restaurant, where you can choose from Seafood Paella, Fish Filet, Chicken Fajitas or a Vegetarian Dish!

When: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Where: Meet at the ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen. You will need to take the passenger ferry over from Cozumel on your own to meet this tour.  See Ferry Information
